Controller (CPA Required)
Description

The Controller is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's finance and cost accounting functions. This individual will develop and manage a high-performing accounting team, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and systems. The Controller will work closely with the Vice President of Finance and the CFO to analyze costs, review financial transactions, and support strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
  • Maintain accurate internal books and financial records
  • Review, compile, and analyze cost accounting data
  • Oversee and develop accounting and finance staff
  • Recommend and implement continuous process and system improvements
  • Analyze financial transactions and reports to support leadership decisions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and CFO
Qualifications
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or 10 plus years of relevant experience
  • CPA required
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
